He said the Yoruba race must not be put to shame.
Folarin enjoined the Yoruba to give at least 80 per cent of their votes to Tinubu, their kinsman.

Speaking in Ibadan at a meeting with Anwar-Ul-Islam Movement of Nigeria, Ibadan North West Local Government chapter, Folarin said APC had become a Yoruba party since Tinubu had emerged as its standard-bearer, adding that Islam and Yoruba race should not be put to shame in the coming elections.
A member of Council of Chief Imams in Ibadanland, Alhaji Mojeed Abata, said Folarin’s pedigree and antecedent distinguished him among other candidates.
He enjoined the governorship candidate to do the needful if elected and extend his hands of fellowship to Muslims.
Abata said: “Don’t return schools to any religious organisation, allow our children to continue to use hijab in schools, give us holiday for Mulud and Hijirah, employ more Arabic teachers in schools and give equal right to Christians and Muslims in the state.”
