Young persons encouraged to pursue entrepreneurship

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Lookchic Cosmetics, Jolasun Onanuga, has encouraged young persons with passion for entrepreneurship to take the bull by the horns and pursue their ambition.

Onanuga said this at the relaunch of Lookchic Cosmetics in Abuja.

She said everything about the cosmetic products were handmade, natural and organic so they do not react to anyone’s skin.

Giving a word of encouragement to budding entrepreneurs, she said, “I would say fear is the enemy, but you have to put faith in what you do because believing in yourself is the number one thing you have to do. To have this for myself is something I really cherish and I see this becoming an international brand.”

Member of the House of Representatives, representing Ikenne/Sagamu/Remo North Federal Constituency in Ogun state, Hon Adewumi Onanuga, also stressed the importance of entrepreneurship in developing the country.

“You must not despise your humble beginnings. You must start somewhere no matter how small. Appreciate it and pray that God should just bless the work of your hands. It is important that everybody understands themselves. If you have a passion, pursue it, because these days there are not a lot of opportunities in the white collar collar job sector anymore. So when you find a child that has a passion for whatever it is, encourage that child, so that he or she can be an employer of labour instead of being the labour itself,”

Hon Onanuga, who is the mother of the CEO, expressed support for her daughter’s ambition.

The event which also marked Onanuga’s birthday was attended by various dignitaries.
