Youths of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State are seeking recognition in the government of Governor-elect, Rotimi Akeredolu (SAN).
The youths converged yesterday in Akure, the state capital, to celebrate Akeredolu’s victory.
Sponsored by Otunba Dele Ologun, the event was to appreciate God for the peaceful election devoid of rancour which led to Akeredolu’s victory after a second attempt in the governorship race.
Speaking on behalf of the APC Youth Directorate of the Akeredolu Campaign Organization (ACO), its Deputy Director, Dele Ologun, hailed the youths who he described as ‘foot soldiers’ during the election for their courage and determination.
He assured them that the incoming APC administration will prioritise their development through provision of employment and other welfare programmes.
According to Ologun, the youths will be adequately protected in Akeredolu’s government, even as he urged them to comport themselves and remain committed to the party.
