Arewa Youth Development Forum has urged the Chief Executive Officer of Radiation Investment Limited, Samson Odupitan, to contest next year’s presidency.

The group said Chief Odupitan has what it takes to fix the country from years of retrogressive development by politicians.

In a statement by its National Coordinator, Adnan Rali, the group said there was need for professionals like Odupitan, who are successful in their careers, to run for president.

The statement reads: “The leadership of Arewa Youth Development Forum (AYDF) wishes to state that we are supporting a southern candidate for 2023  in the spirit of fairness and justice. This is the time to speak out and mobilise voters to elect the right and focused leader with proven track records in resources management who could resolve the Nigeria’s complex problems.

“This is part of many reasons we are calling on Nigerians …to join the Northern Youth Development Forum to call on and mobilise the electorate to vote Chief Samson Odupitan as the next President in February 2023.

“We have always advocated for a President with a great understanding of the economy of development with no political history of maladministration, corruption and who is a detribalised Nigerian…By actions and deeds, Samson Odupitan possesses all these qualities.

“We call on Nigerian youths not to allow any politician to use them for thuggery and as agents of political violence. Let’s unite to vote these failed professional politicians out with our PVC.”
