The 19th edition of the annual Youth Sports Federation of Nigeria (YSFON) organized by Chief of Naval Staff U-14 boys and the 11th edition of Nigerian Navy Officers Wives Association U-17 girls football tournament will hold from September 24- October 2, 2022, in Ilorin the Kwara State capital.
According to a statement by the Federation signed by its national secretary, Patrick Okparvuerhe, the body advised various state chapters to seek sponsorship from their various Local Government, state governments, corporate organizations, and public-spirited individuals in their states to raise the required funds that will enable them to participate in the championship.
States were also reminded that each team will be made up of 20 players who must be strictly under the ages of 14 years for boys and 17 years for Girls as at September 30th, 2022 with a body weight of 51kg and a maximum height of 1.58m for boys, 60kg and 1.78m for girls with three (3) officials each, one of who must be YSFON official.

The Federation further explained that the team’s arrival date is Saturday 24th September 2022 just as it promised that a member of the national organizing committee and Kwara State YSFON officials shall be on the ground to receive teams at Kwara State Stadium, Ilorin.
While warning that late arrival will not be entertained. The statement further advised states to confirm their team names with the national secretariat on or before Monday, 12th September 2022 to enable the body to make adequate arrangements for accommodation and accreditation cards.
