Yvonne Nelson opens up on most challenging role

Award-winning Ghanian actress, Yvonne Nelson has recounted her most challenging role in a career of over one decade.

Yvonne, who is also a movie producer, disclosed this recently during a recent radio interview.

The mother of one revealed that her role in one of her self-produced films, ‘If tomorrow never comes’ remains the most challenging in her career so far.

“It is a very sad story, it is about a boy, a true-life story actually, he was suffering from a cerebral malformation, so we wrote the story around him and sadly two weeks after we shot the movie he passed on, that was very challenging, you could see my rawness you know, I was crawling on the floor in James town, I got sick after shooting that movie it was so hard, very hard. I’m planning to put the film on Netflix.”

She however noted that at the time she made the movie getting it on Netflix at the time proved laborious.

Yvonne also noted that apart from acting and making movies, she has been doing a lot including running a daycare.

“Now I have a school, I have a daycare, so I am doing a lot of things,” she noted.

Nelson premiered her latest film, ‘The men we love,’ under her YN production company on February 14, 2022, at the Accra Mall. The new film features Yvonne Nelson, Majid Michel, James Gardiner, Kofi Adjorlolo, Michy Diamond, and Sophia Kalorizos among others.
