Renowned industrialist and CEO of Wellmann Group of companies, Deacon Chris Iyovwaye, has declared for the Delta governorship race.
Iyovwaye, who hails from Aghalokpe, Okpe local government area in Delta Central Senatorial District, noted he will be running under the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
While addressing his teeming supporters, Iyovwaye said he has formed a strong affiliation with different political interests across the State to actualise his ambition.

He assured Delta has the capacity of becoming an industrial and commercial hub if given the right leadership.
‘’I have formed a strong affiliation with different political interests across the State. I believe the State is one of the most endowed in the country and has the capacity of becoming an industrial and commercial hub if given the right leadership.
‘’I am passionate about alleviating the hardship that is endemic among our people. It’s all about the yearning by the people for respect, humility, and true leadership as against rulership.
‘’As a visionary leader, I am determined to restore the dignity of the average Delta indigene if elected as the next Governor,” he said.
