The Premier League of 2019/20 was certainly eventful, and next season promises to be even better. With the return of a classic team and several top teams being in great form, there is plenty to look forward to.

Leeds United are three-time champions of England, yet the Yorkshire side has been out of the Premier League for 16 painful years after being relegated in 2004. Boasting some of the most passionate fans in England, Leeds will be a big draw in 2020/21. They are led by Marcelo Bielsa, a former Argentina boss described as ‘an incredible manager’ by Pep Guardiola. Bielsa’s famous high-pressing game is sure to be a fun watch when the Premier League starts again next season.
Can Manchester United finally challenge for the title again?
Manchester United have faced many difficulties since Sir Alex Ferguson retired in 2013. David Moyes, Louis van Gaal, and Jose Mourinho all failed to take United back to the top of the league. However, there are positive signs under current manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, with new signing Bruno Fernandes helping to improve the side in the second half of the 2019/20 season. According to William Hill, Manchester United are third favorites for the title behind Manchester City and Liverpool. United fans would love to at least be a part of the title race for the first time in a number of years.
Chelsea’s attacking talent
To everyone at @ChelseaFC :
I’m incredibly happy to be joining the Blues next season! It feels like the right step for me and I am delighted to become a part of Chelsea FC. Really looking forward to playing for such a fantastic and historic club!

Frank Lampard played an attacking style in his first season as Chelsea manager, and he has doubled down by signing Timo Werner and Hakim Ziyech from RB Leipzig and Ajax respectively in the summer transfer window. Chelsea will be exciting to watch next season and possess some of the best young attacking talent in the world, but, can they solve their defensive issues? Time will tell.
Jose Mourinho seeks second season miracle
Mourinho has won the league in his second season in most of the managerial jobs he has ever worked in, but faces an uphill task to even come close to winning the league with Tottenham Hotspur. The ‘special one’ has done well to steady the ship after Mauricio Pochettino left Spurs, but several other teams in the league look to be in a better position for next season as things stand. Mourinho will have to perform admirably to return Spurs to the Champions League; if he is to win the title in 2020/21, he will have to perform a miracle.
Guardiola v Klopp – again
Arguably the two best managers in the world will lock horns again in 2020/21. It is likely that one of Liverpool or Manchester City will win the title again, but who knows which one it will be? Liverpool remained unbeaten for the first 27 games in 2019/20 and won the title with ease, but Manchester City is likely to come back stronger. The title race is likely to be a close one.
Rarely has the Premier League contained so many strong teams – 2020/21 could well be the best Premier League season of all time.
