POPULAR fashion personality and cosmetic entrepreneur, Muka Nwokedi, , has found a new passion in spoken word ministration.
Muka, a co-founder of Charisma Cosmetics, a business she co-owns with her identical twin sister disclosed this as she recounted the journey of her spoken word ministration.
She said it started 21 years ago in her church, The Redeemed Evangelical Mission, TREM.
“Exactly 10 years ago, the Lord spoke to me from Isaiah 51 vs 16 which says; ‘I have put my words in your mouth’,” she said.
“I started learning the word. It got to a point (that) even if I am talking to people or I am in the bathroom, I found myself saying the word of God, even in my prayers.
“In church, anytime we have a programme, I just tell them I have something to say. And they will ask me where it is coming from. I will give them the verse. Somehow, I found out, that I was not allowed to go outside the word because at first, I thought it was a calling to be a pastor. I started thinking about the calling thing but I found out that this is my true being, the very reason why I am here (on earth) same with everybody else. There is your true identity that is sited in your spirit.”
Muka and her twin, Nina, started their cosmetic business about 25 years ago when they returned from the United States of America to take over Charisma Cosmetics from their mother.
“So far, we have grown the company to what it is today from bricks and mortar,” said Muka.
“Despite the economic challenges in the country we have been able to thrive. Charisma Cosmetic is a signature product. Our products are organic.”
