Over 20,000 to benefit under Fed Govt’s CCT programme in Kogi

THE Kogi State office of the Social Investment Programme (SIP) has begun the enrolment of additional 23,440 beneficiaries under the Conditional Cash Transfer programme (CCT).

The State Focal Person for SIP, Mr. Abdulkareem Onyekehi, at the end of a two-day Step-Down training programme for Cash Transfer Facilitators (CTFs) yesterday in Lokoja, said the Kogi SIP has received approval for on boarding of additional 23,440 CCT beneficiaries to receive household supports of N5,000 monthly.

She was represented by the Head of CCT Unit, Mrs. Falilat Abdulrazaq.

“We have 23, 440 beneficiaries that have just been approved, which will be added to the existing 11, 513 people, who are already benefitting from the CCT programme,” she stated.

She said the programme was organised to train Cash Transfer Facilitators (CTFs) on data and biometric capturing of the enrollees at their respective wards in rural areas.

According to her, “CTFs training is on the use of the application and enrollment template, which was carried out by National Cash Transfer Office (NCTO), Management Information System (MIS) Officers from Abuja.
