HOUSE of Representatives member Ganiyu Johnson has assured Nigerians that the All Progressives Congress (APC) will not go back on its promise to eradicate poverty.
Johnson, who was represented by his wife, Funke, during a presentation of food items at Oshodi/Isolo Constituency II, urged all members to put their hands on the deck to support the party.
During the presentation, which took place under the auspices of the ‘Johnson Food For All’ programme, he said the party would make life better for the people.
He said there would be no discrimination in service delivery and that there are plans to actualise the party’s social welfare programmes.
Johnson said it was his responsibility as a lawmaker to ensure that his constituents benefit from the party’s welfare programmes. He said APC would not renege on campaign promises and that the food packs presented to them at the event is an indication that succour is around the corner.

He said: “In the course of my campaign, I promised to serve everybody, irrespective of party affiliations. After I won the election, I maintained my position to serve everybody within the constituency.
“The programme is for all APC, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and other political parties who are within the constituency. The APC is out to serve all without recourse to discrimination. Every resident of the constituency would benefit from the programme.”
The lawmaker said party stalwarts are duty-bound to support programmes geared towards touching the lives of the people at the grassroots. He said: “The APC as a party has an agenda to improve the lives of Nigerians. We want to leave a lasting legacy for our people.”
