The Salvation Army Ministries will celebrate its centenary anniversary in October, with the theme: ‘Boundless Possibilities’.
There will be free medical checks, counselling food and clothing.
Corps Sergeant Major (CSM) of Ikorodu Mrs. Bolanle Ogunnusi said: “This event is about giving joy to others.
The Salvation Army’s vision is to give people the spiritual life, which is introducing Jesus Christ to them and meeting their needs without discrimination. We don’t discriminate. This programme is really for the people of Ikorodu.
“We believe there is poverty in the land, people are hungry and we want to meet their needs because food is very essential for survival. We want the society to join us.
There will be food for people who need it. If you have clothes to give out, send them to the Salvation Army. We are ready to pick them up and donate accordingly.”
