Fifteen Hilux trucks with armed police officers were stationed within and around the party secretariat. Two trucks each were placed at the four main entrances to Blantyre Street where the party office is situated.
A Rapid Response Squard (RRS) Peougeot car and a hot water sprinkler truck were also strategically parked on the deserted street leading to the secretariat.
