A two-hour conference that will feature all member-firms of the Booksellers Association of Nigeria from across the country will hold Wednesday, September 2 at this year’s virtual Book Fair with the theme Information Technology as a Panacea for Book Industry Sustainability amid the Covid-19 Pandemic. The virtual Book Fair will hold from September 1 to 7.
The conference, which is organised by the Booksellers Association of Nigeria (BAN), will have Book Publishers and Education Equipment Representative for Africa and the Caribbean, United Kingdom, Mr. Kevin van Hasselt speaking on An Effective Booksellers Association: The Needed Stimulus in the Book Supply Chain. It will hold from 10 am to 12 noon.
The second conference is on Spending less, getting more: Managing the Book marketing budget and will hold on Friday, September 4. The panelists are Tobi Eyinade, Co-founder of Roving Heights, Gideon M. Ilori, Lead Consultant at Techside Concepts, and Eghosa Imasuen, Co-founder, Narrative Landscape Press.
The third activity of the association which is part of the broader bookfair package is a presentation on the association’s Directory project entitled Introducing the Booksellers Directory: Locating the Booksellers in your neighbourhood.’
It will be anchored by the duo of Mr. Adegbola Adesina, Deputy Managing Director at CSS Bookshops Limited, and Mr. Richard Mammah, the MD/CEO, Sunbird African Media Limited, publisher of The Difference Newspaper and Contributing Editor at Business Hallmark.
