OSHORUN Heritage Estate in Isheri North area of Lagos state has tasked the state government over infrastructure as N25million water project was unveiled.

Dr. Bello Omololu, chairman of the Community Development Association (CDA), said each member of the community supported the project with N130, 000 each to solve the recurrent water problem in the community.

He said: “One of the things we do is to canvass for all members of the estate to pay N130, 000 and with that amount we started the project. We also got a loan to finish up.

“The major objective is that we want to make government to realize that people have been trying to make life better for themselves which is what government is supposed to do and they have to help us to and make their presence felt. We don’t have security, police station, electricity, recreation center, hospitals, and public school. We need government to help us bring these to reality. In-fact the pinpoint here is electricity. We have requested for premium power but it was turned down by IKEDC.”

Breaking down the project, the General Secretary of the CDA and a member of the project committee, Engr. Babayemi Gbenga, said: “We have done two boreholes, installed ground storage tank of about 60000 liter  capacity, two 15horse power standby booster pump.
