Inspector General of Police (IGP) Alkali Baba Usman has warned officers not to compromise the integrity of their office because of selfish interests.
The IGP, who was represented by the Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG), Zone ‘2’ Command, Lagos, Mr. Johnson Kokumo, spoke at the commissioning of Area Commander’s office, conference room, Area Commander’s secretary office, visitors waiting room and 10 other offices for senior police officers, as well as the renovation and furnishing of other existing structures.
The project was executed by the outgoing Commander of Area ‘B’ Command, Apapa, Mr. Olusoji Akinbayo, who was recently promoted to the rank of deputy commissioner of police.
Commending the Area Commander, the IGP, said that the feat achieved by Akinbayo is worthy of emulation.
“It is quite rare to see such effort, having commissioned a project in January and in the space of six months another project is being commissioned,” he said.
