Bamigbetan unfolds plans for House of Reps

A journalist and politician, Kehinde Bamigbetan, has unfolded his plan to represent Osodi/Isolo Constituency, Lagos State, in the House of Representatives.

He promised to offer quality representation, stressing that he will articulate the problems confronting the constituency on the floor of the Lower Chamber.

Bamigbetan, a household name in the constituency and the state, has been described by constituents as a community patriot, loyal chieftain of All Progressives Congress (APC), a mobiliser and organiser held in esteem by the local apex leadership.

An outstanding journalist and publisher, he was Deputy Chief Press Secretary, and later, Chief Press Secretary to former Lagos State Governor Bola Tinubu before serving for two terms as Chairman of Ejigbo Council.

Under the Ambode Administration, Bamigbetan served as Special Adviser on Community Matters, and later, Commissioner for Information and Strategy.

The former commissioner lauded the commitment of the constituency to the progressive fold, from the Awolowo days.

At a mobilisation meeting with grassroots party leaders, Bamigbetan, emphasised the need for a representative who will not be a bench warmer in the parliament.

He said having lived and served in the constituency, he is very conversant with the hopes, yearnings and aspirations of the people for development.

Bamigbetan also urged the people to anticipate a new epoch at the national level.

Hailing the declaration of presidential ambition by Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, he said the future of Nigeria is very bright as the country will savour an excellent leadership.
