Southeast APC women seek more representation

Women of All Progressives Congress (APC) from Southeast under the aegis of Hope 4 Women Development Initiative (H4WDI) in Abuja are seeking a strong women network that promotes the inclusiveness of women in politics.

The group, led by a commissioner at the Federal Character Commission (FCC), Ginika Tor, said their mission is to support women in politics and empower them with skills, knowledge and resources to improve their livelihoods and aim for leadership positions.

She said the group  the group would create a  consciousness and hope for women, assuring them that their tomorrow would be better and assured.

The group, she continued, would mentor women to aspire, emerge and win elections as well as support Southeast leaders, governors and wives.

According to her, members would benefit from networking with influential personalities, support in politics businesses and other professions.

Notable leaders of the group  include Deputy Chief Whip of House of Representatives Nkeiruka Onyejeocha; Minister of State for Environment Sharon Ikeazor; and Miriam Onuoha, a federal lawmaker.

Others are Nkechinyere Ugwu, a commissioner in Imo state; Uju Onwudiwe, Imo lawmaker;  Dr Love Ineh; Julie Egbo; Adaora Iwuanyanwu, Mrs Ifeoma Nwachukwu; Ify Ugo Okoye; Stella Onuh; Erika Anusie; Dr Cynthia Agbo; Ivor Ajanwachukwu; Emmanuella Anikwe; Akuabata Nwankwo; Ify Igwilo; Dr Valerie Obie-Otti, and Miriam Kanu; among others.
