The woman, who allegedly inserted a stick in the genitals of her 12-year-old niece, has been remanded at a correctional facility in Sapele, Delta State.
Mercy Oba, 35, had allegedly assaulted her niece last Thursday for “stealing” her garri and fish at Ikumeje-Okpara Inland in Ethiope East council of the state.
Oba was arraigned at the Magistrate Court II, Isiokolo on Monday.
She is charged with assault, causing bodily harm on the minor and her visually-impaired mother.
