Community vows to return Oyetola

Governor Adegboyega Oyetola

The Osogbo community has vowed to return Adegboyega Oyetola as governor for another four years in the forthcoming 2022 Osun state governorship election.

The sons and daughters of the state capital, led by the National President of Osogbo Progressive Union (OPU), Kamorudeen Makinde, as well as compound heads of different zones of the town, made the vow during an endorsement programme held at Freedom Park.

Makinde, a lawyer, said the community never supported any other party aside from the progressives.

He commended the governor for the infrastructural drive in the state capital.

Makinde said: “Never in dispute, the fact that Osogbo had been supportive of progressives since the days of the late sage, Chief Obafemi Awolowo and has not derailed from this glorious footsteps up till the present time is a pride for us as Osogbo indigenes.

“We assert that the progressives reciprocate this via delivery of sound governance to the people.”

The zones at the gathering include Owo-Ope, Oke- Baale, Isale-Osandun, Isale Agbe, Christian and Muslim communities, amongst others.
