Ondo gets HoS

Ondo State Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu

Ondo State Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu has appointed Pastor Kayode Ogundele as the Head of Public Service (HoS).

Incumbent HoS Pastor John Adeyemo will bow out on August 2, while Ogundele’s appointment takes effect from August 3.

A statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Richard Olatunde, said Ogundele’s appointment was in recognition of his rich experience in the public service and track records of years of dedication.

The statement said the appointment was in line with Section 208, Sub-section 3 of the 1999 Constitution.

It said Ogundele, who joined the public service as an administrative officer in 1994, served as Permanent Secretary, Cabinet and Special Services Department of the Governor’s Office.

“An astute and experienced administrator, Ogundele has traversed almost all the Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) in the course of his career and rose through the ranks to the position of Permanent Secretary before his appointment.”
