Less than eight months after announcing her emergence in para table tennis, Ifechukwude Ikpeoyi believes she is primed to win medals at the ongoing 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham.
Ikpeoyi who will be competing in class 3-5 of the women’s event told NationSport that she is in the games to prove herself. “I am not here to watch others, but I want people to notice my talents and recognize me at Commonwealth level. There is no doubt that it is not going to be easy because I will need to win four matches to win gold medal and I am ready to give my best,” she said.
The national champion however, lauded the organisers for providing conducive atmosphere for the athletes describing it as a good experience.
