SIR: Sometimes, I wonder if it is a crime to be a law-abiding citizen in Nigeria.

I was among the first set of patriotic citizens that registered for the National Identity Card. That was about eight years ago; and I still haven’t gotten the card.

But what puzzles me most is that persons that registered for the same card after I did have gotten theirs.

I am appealing to the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC): Please, give me my National ID card.
