Three persons have died while 15 sustained injuries in a road accident in Kano State.
The accident involved a commercial Hummer bus and a Toyota Hilux which had a head-on collision.
Spokesman for the state fire service Saminu Yusif Abdullahi said the two vehicles caught fire on impact.

Abdullahi said the dead were “burnt beyond recognition,” adding that the accident resulted from not obeying traffic rules.
He also urged motorists to desist from unnecessary overtaking.
The fire service spokesman said: “Fire fighters and the police from Takai made efforts and successfully extinguished the fire.
