INSECURITY can be tackled by good governance where government is responsible and accountable to people.
Lead Pastor of Victory Life Bible Church International Apostle Lawrence Achudume yesterday said good governance and accountability would curtail insecurity.
He spoke at the maiden Security Summit organised by Security and Safety Marshalls of Ogun State Community Orientation and Safety Corps in Abeokuta, Ogun State capital.
Achudume said good governance and people-focus would end insurrection.
Represented by Lagos District Head Bishop Adebanji Agbebi, he noted that Nigeria should also accelerate its pace of development.
He cited security challenges in the state; cultism, gunmen killings, kidnapping, street fights and ritual killing.
Achudume said insecurity has to go beyond blame game, especially to security organisations, saying all should contribute to tackling the menace.
Chief Host and Ogun State Commander of So-Safe Corps Dr Soji Ganzallo said communities should discourage jungle justice by reporting crime.
