The House of Representatives Committee on Finance has summoned the Director General of the National Pension Commission (PENCOM), Dr. Aisha Dahiru-Umar, to appear before it on Monday over the ongoing hearing on the Medium-Term Expenditure Framework/Fiscal Strategy Paper (MTEF/FSP).
The committee, which expressed displeasure at the DG’s absence, said documents available to it showed that PENCOM remitted only N1 billion out of N20.7 billion generated in 2021.

The committee’s Deputy Saidu Abdullahi, who presided over the hearing, said the development was unacceptable.
The committee demanded that Dahiru-Umar appear in person on September 12 to answer questions on the agency’s budget performance.
