A Federal High Court in Osogbo, Osun State presided over by Justice Emmanuel Ayoola on Thursday has okayed the prayer of Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) to amend suit to stop Local Government election by Osun State Independent Electoral Commission (OSIEC).
At the sitting of the court, PDP through its counsel, Hashim Abioye made an application for amendment of the suit before the court to bring into focus the OSSIEC LAW 2022 which was enacted by the Osun State House of Assembly during the pendency of the suit.

The application of PDP was objected to by the counsel of OSIEC, Saka Layonu, SAN stating that PDP’s application was over-reaching and capable of changing the complexion of the suit.
Justice Ayoola granted the prayer of PDP and adjourned the case to September 26th 2022 for hearing as he pend application for injunction against OSIEC to stop the election process.
Meanwhile, the chairman of OSIEC, Segun Oladitan assured the general public that the Commission is ready to deliver a very credible and acceptable Local Government Elections in Osun come October 15, 2022.
