An explosion has rocked an open bar located at the ATC area of Ardo Kola Local Government Area of Taraba State. The incident took place on Sunday night. However, no casualty was recorded.
The Nation reports that the explosion reverberated miles away from the scene which is at the vicinity of the Taraba State University on the outskirts of Jalingo, the state capital.
The fence of the bar was pulled down while half of a nearby building was destroyed.
The police said the blast was an Improvised Explosive Devise (IED).

A survivor, Christy Nukani, who sells pepper soup at the bar, narrated how she escaped death from the explosion. The woman, whose shop is located just behind the point of the explosion, thanked God for saving her life. She spoke to The Nation yesterday.
The anti-bomb squad of the Nigeria Police Force has cordoned off the area and swung into the investigation.
The police spokesman, Abdullahi Usman, confirmed the incident via a text message.
“It has been verified that there was an explosion of IED, but no casualties, please,” he stated.
The bomb blast was the fourth in Taraba this year.
Similar bomb blasts occurred in Iware in Ardo Kola Local Government Area and Nukkai in Jalingo all targeted at drinking joints as well as an Army base in Jalingo between April and September.
