PRESIDENTIAL candidate of New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso has pledged to mop up the 20 million out-of-school children.

Kwankwaso, in his 150- page manifesto, said, if elected, he would ensure parents won’t pay registration fees for West African Examination Council (WAEC), Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) and National Examination Council (NECO).

He said examination bodies were not revenue generating agencies and must not operate as such.

Speaking during presentation of the  RMK2023 Blueprint, he noted that Nigeria needs competent, credible and emphatic leaders with experience.

He said: “Our country needs competent, credible and empathetic leaders with experience, will, and fitness to think and work round-the-clock.

According to him, leaders must have a real, practical, sincere and acceptable plan to hit the ground running.

Speaking further, he said ‘’we believe every Nigerian is disappointed with the performance of the two ruling parties

“We believe Nigerians are angry about how those entrusted with governance betrayed that trust and dragged our country to despondency, hopelessness and fear.

“We live in a country where victims of insecurity are being ignored or accused of exaggeration or lying or both. We live in a country where victims of unemployment are accused of laziness.

“We live in a country where universities and other tertiary institutions are being shut down for months and our children’s future jeopardised…

“We live in a country where the economy is on a slippery slope and the peoples’ purchasing power is being weakened; we live in a country where being wrong is the new right…

“Our blueprint is written for Nigerians. We believe that together, with Nigerians of goodwill, we shall pursue our quest for a new Nigeria.
