An event planner, Glory Ifunanya Nkennor, bedridden since a ghastly road accident in Akwa Ibom in 2016, needs N3 million for a surgery in order to walk again.
Her legs were broken, her hands fractured in the crash, she told The Nation.
The surgery will be performed at National Orthopaedic Hospital, Igbobi, Lagos if she can find the money.
She has been in and out of hospitals, including traditional healing homes, but has not been able to get up and walk.

Nkennor said: “I didn’t have the money for surgery in 2021, so I came to the public to search for funds. I went in for five major surgeries. They were successful and my physiotherapist was doing well. On February 2022 I went to hospital for another checkup to see what they could do because I wasn’t feeling anything, then I wanted to get up to take my bath; that was when I knew I could not stand.”
After going from one hospital to another, and spending a long time at a trado-medical home in her hometown Agbor, Delta State, orthopaedics told her her bones were wrongly joined.
A surgery at Igbobi could get her back on her feet
Donations should be sent to her Access Bank account with the name Gloria Nkennor; account number, 0001338624.
