Just Wondering… About Mantra (1)

“I see the sun,

I can even hear the rolling thunder”

I can see the sun still

That universal ping-pong.

even finders the star-gazzers

or so they’re called see it my

own way

Yet I still wonder

Just wondering

How helpful it can be,

Slicing those little pieces of action

Growing and growing, even more narrowly, from bad to worse

from bleak to bleakest

Now do teach me, great teacher

What you know that I do not know

What you see that I do not see

What you can eat that I cannot eat

What you have that I do not have

What you love that I cannot love even those other ones

Seen and unseen black or white great and small yet to be here growing in us manifesting themselves

with us daily endlessly, as we slide through these labyrinths

                sometimes for our

                own good, for

                our own growth

                which are of this drift,

this wondering, this silly way of life.

Then I thrust my hand out

Fidgeting a while; swearing and sweating

Pinching myself harder

What does life offer me?

Oh, I hiss to myself, my stupid self, with this cocoanut head,

                Just to

                myself

                Again and again

                Wondering, all alone,

                This suffering

                This pain

                over and over again.

What else can I see now?

The sun no longer shines

The thunder has just stopped rolling,

Darkness has taken the place of brightness

And we all are a little

dumbfounded, like idiots of yore.

                How come –

                so soon

so suddenly,

They’ve all

changed

Just wandering…

Just from bad to worse

But please don’t let all

become in vain, dear me

For I shall wait,

wait, wait and wait, even like a fool in paradise

Till it becomes well

Again…  But then, why you asshole?

Until I see them all over again
