APC, endorses Akpabio/Barau, Abbas/Kalu

AMID calls to reconsider the current zoning of the National Assembly leadership, the Coalition of Youths in the North Central (CYNC) have pledged their total support to the All Progressives Congress (APC) leadership, backing the zonings so far made.

The youths’ coalition is backing the ruling party in its choice of Senators Godswill Akpabio and Barau Jibril for the positions of senate president and deputy senate president, respectively.

The group also endorsed Hon. Tajuddeen Abbas and Benjamin Kalu to lead the House of Representatives as Speaker and deputy.

During the meeting held in Kano, the North Central Youth Volunteer Movement (NCYVM) commended the efforts of APC National Working Committee (NWC) and the President-elect Bola Ahmed Tinubu for retaining Senator Abdullah Adamu as the National Chairman of the party, whom they said played a vital role in the smooth success recorded in the 2023 general elections.

Speaking at the meeting, the Chairman of North Central Youth Volunteer Movement, Emmanuel Musa said: “The good people of North Central are loyal and obedient members of APC; therefore they are grateful for retaining the seat of National Chairman.

 “We are solidly behind this zoning formula, and we are in total support of Akpabio and Barau, Abbas and Kalu.

“We believe in the president-elect, Bola Ahmed Tinubu; we accept the position he has given us; we are ever ready to support the candidates he has endorsed,” Musa said.
