New House of Representatives member representing Chikun/Kajuru Federal Constituency, Hon. Ekene Abubakar Adams, has donated ten pieces of 500KVA transformers and six cars to communities and people in the constituency as part fulfilment of his campaign promises.
Ekene, who was elected on the platform of the Labour Party (LP), also demonstrated his position that governance is not about political party or any other difference by empowering wives of ward chairmen of LP, All Progressives Congress (APC) and the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) across the 12 wards in Chikun and Kajuru local governments with N150,000 each.
He also promised the 36 chairmen of the three major parties undisclosed amount of money.
Addressing a reception party with thousands of his constituents, religious leaders, traditional rulers, women and youth from the twelve wards that made up his constituency, the football administrator said, “During our campaign, we went to several communities to seek their votes, hear their cries and what they want us to do for them. Three communities: Ungwan Gimbiya, Nasarawa and Karji, came to me to say they have problem of transformer, and that if I’m elected I should help them get transformer? I told them it was their right and I would do it.

“Politics is service to humanity; I’m here to serve humanity and my people. We intend to address challenges facing our communities. If people are hungry, if they have nothing to do, they go into kidnapping, armed robbery and things that would put the people in problem. If you want solution and peace, you have to create jobs and provide empowerment.
“Congratulations to the people of Ungwan Gimbiya, Nasarawa and Karji, they should meet with the campaign council to get 500KVA transformer each. I went to Kantiaga in Sabo, I was told that there is a borehole sunk by Barde that needed to be repaired and I also promised them a transformer. My DG Campaign also asked for one transformer for the people of Gonin Gora. The Emir of Kajuru, Agwom Adara and Saa Gbagyi 2 will have one transformer each for their people,” Ekene said.
