Residents of Apapa Local Government in Lagos State may soon enjoy electric buses and charging points, following a partnership with Leventis Nigeria Limited.
It is one of many initiatives the company plans for the council as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
Head of CSR and Corporate Communications at Leventis, Tunde Oyelola, spoke during a visit to Council Chairman, Mrs Idowu Senbanjo.
Leventis plans to introduce electronic buses and charging points in Apapa to transform the community into a green and sustainable one.

Other initiatives are education and skill development, healthcare, and environmental conservation efforts.
Leventis shared its expertise and plans in electric mobility to reduce air pollution and promote energy efficiency.
Oyetola said: “Leventis and Apapa are almost synonymous because of the years we’ve been in Apapa and we ensure the community benefits from our CSR initiatives and projects for a symbiotic relationship.”
Mrs Senbajo said the visit offered an encouraging outlook on the future of Apapa.
She stressed the initiatives, along with possibility of introducing electronic buses and charging points, were steps towards a more sustainable, environmentally friendly and socially responsible council.
