Methodist High School, Ibadan, Old Boys’ Association has said its N250 million fund raiser is targeted at revamping old structures and implement academic projects.
Dr Lekan Abioye, national president, during a news conference, noted plans to renovate the school followed maintenance deficit and drop in standard after it was taken over by the military in 1977.
Abioye said the funds will be used to build and equip a science laboratory, boarding school, purchase vans, among others.
He is proposing direct fund-raising, reunion tickets, merchandise sales, corporate sponsorship, and online fundraising.

“The event, on December 8 and 9 at Lead City University, Ibadan, will feature workshops and training; with interactive sessions.”
Abioye said a novelty match will be held between the school and Bishop Phillips Academy in Ibadan. The final day, we will host government officials”.
Methodist High School, Ibadan was established on February 13, 1961. The school has turned many alumni who have excelled in their professions.
They include Prof Olujim Faturoti, chair of Council of Fellows at Fisheries Society of Nigeria, Abioye, business leader and policy advocate.
