THE Tutor- General/Permanent Secretary, Education District 2, Anike Adekanye has said keeping fit is not only a lifestyle choice but also a key to enhanced productivity.
Adekanye, stated this at the launch of the first staff fitness centre by Education District 2, Maryland Headquarter Office.
The district became the first Education District in Lagos State to own and commission a Zero cost staff fitness centre.
Combined with a weekly staff clinic and run in partnership with Health District 2, the fully equipped center will serve all staff members of the District.
At the launch of the fitness centre, Adekanye, noted that the project was approved by the Lagos State governor and is set to make a significant impact on all staff’s well-being.

The fitness center is equipped with state-of-the-art modern equipment and will collaborate with the staff clinic organized by the TG/PS in partnership with expert doctors from Lagos State Health District 2.
‘Keeping fit is not just a lifestyle choice; it’s a key to enhanced productivity and a better quality of life,’ Adekanye disclosed.
The TG/PS extended her heartfelt appreciation to the Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, for doing so much for the development of education, teachers’ welfare and productivity in Lagos State.
