Wife of Oyo Governor Mrs. Tamunominini Makinde has hosted a one-day media retreat with journalists covering her office aimed at fostering collaboration, effective communication, and unbiased reporting.
The event at Fashola Farm settlement, Oyo/Iseyin road brought together journalists from various media outlets who cover the Governor’s wife’s activities.
Mrs Makinde emphasised importance of a good working relationship between her office and the media, adding that effective communication was crucial in achieving her goals and objectives.
The media retreat featured presentations and discussions on various topics, including effective reporting, media ethics, and collaboration.
Journalists were encouraged to ask questions and share their experiences covering the governor’s wife’s activities.
The journalists commended Engr. Makinde for her openness and willingness to engage with the media.
The retreat ended with a resolution to work together to achieve effective and unbiased reporting.

The Head of Service (HoS) in the state, Mrs Olubunmi Oni, commended the media team for effectively reporting activities of the governor’s wife and portraying her image positively.
She however charged the media team to always do their best in projecting image of the wife of the governor, saying by doing that, the media team are also contributing their quota towards the progress and development of the state.
