Media personality Toke Makinwa has advised women in relationships to maintain confidentiality when it comes to their friends’ secrets.
Makinwa emphasised that sharing friends’ secrets with partners can damage friendships and erode trust.

She stressed that when a friend confides in his partner, the information is meant solely for his ears, and sharing it with his partner, who is not the friend’s confidant, can have unintended consequences.
Makinwa warned that the practice has led to the dissolution of numerous female friendships.
She encouraged women to prioritise loyalty and discretion in their friendships.
