Lagos State Safety Commission (LSSC) has urged sand miners and dredgers to be mindful of the importance of their lives at dredging locations and mining sites.
Director General Lanre Mojola gave the advice yesterday in his welcome address at a one-day stakeholders’ meeting with dredgers and miners.
He said security of lives and properties ‘’is paramount, hence the law that establishes LSSC, especially as it relates to dredging and mining sectors, stipulates that all hands must be on deck to ensure there is no loss of life during dredging and mining.’’
