Ikeja Dynamic Lions Club has taken its pediatric cancer campaign to Agidingbi Primary School Inter-house Sports.
The club, which has for years supported the school’s annual inter-house sports event, has also adopted and sponsored the Purple House.
According to the club president, Lion Adeola Boluogun, “Every year, we come around to encourage them, provide what they need, such as glucose, gum, candies, not only for our adopted Purple House but for the whole school. We do all these because we have adopted them as our babies, nurturing them and watching them grow.

“We are also seizing this opportunity to create awareness on Childhood Cancer also known as Pediatric Cancer. Worldwide approximately 400,000 children and adolescents aged 0-19 are diagnosed with cancer every year, which is why we are here to create awareness about pediatric/childhood cancer among parents, so that they can be on the lookout and seek timely intervention.”
At the end of the day’s activities, over 50 guests at the event indicated interest to attend subsequent Lions Club meetings, with a view to joining.
School Manager, Mrs. F O Oseni commended Ikeja Dynamic Lions Club and other sponsors for their support, even as he congratulated the athletes for their competitiveness.
