Joe Igbokwe to presidential aspirants: Tinubu will lead till 2031

A prominent member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Joe Igbokwe, has cautioned individuals eyeing the presidency in the upcoming 2027 general elections to shelve their ambitions.

Igbokwe’s statement followed the rumours of an alliance between Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s 2023 presidential candidate, and Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to challenge President Bola Tinubu in the next election.

In a post on his official Facebook page, Igbokwe declared that Tinubu would remain in office until 2031, emphasizing the need for a second term to solidify his legacy and “set the records straight.”
