Storefront Africa, a leading technology company, has appointed Hon. Chinedu Ukatu, President General of the NDIGBOAMAKA Progressive Markets Association (NPMA), as its national brand ambassador.
The NPMA serves as the umbrella body for major markets across Lagos.
The official nomination, anchored by Mr. Adebayo Oladunjoye, took place on Thursday, January 30, 2025, at the NDIGBOAMAKA secretariat in Lagos.
The company announced that Ukatu’s unveiling as the brand ambassador would be held at a later date.
Speaking at the event, Storefront Africa’s Director of Sales, Mrs. Sarah Tonkiri, emphasized the strategic importance of Ukatu’s role in reaching traders across Nigeria.
She noted that Storefront Africa’s innovation is designed to enhance business operations by leveraging technology.
“We came to nominate the head of NDIGBOAMAKA Progressive Markets Association to help us take our innovation to traders across Nigeria,” Tonkiri said.
“The technology landscape is evolving rapidly, and those who fail to embrace innovation risk being left behind. Nigeria is a trade hub, with buyers from across Africa sourcing supplies from Lagos, Onitsha, and Aba. With technology, businesses can scale beyond physical shop transactions, significantly increasing their reach and sales.”
She further highlighted that Storefront Africa provides essential technological infrastructure for businesses, ensuring they achieve measurable growth and returns on investment.

Hon. Chinedu Ukatu, expressing his excitement over the nomination, urged Storefront Africa to uphold its reputation for integrity.
“I am excited because, after reviewing Storefront Africa’s track record, I found that their objectives align with what my traders need—enhanced brand visibility and business expansion,” Ukatu said. “Business today extends beyond physical shops. With Storefront Africa’s support, our traders can become vendors reaching a wider market.”
He stressed that integrating technology into trade would boost sales and efficiency, enabling traders to serve a larger customer base.
Ukatu also emphasized the importance of maintaining trust and precision in their collaboration.
“They should uphold integrity because, as their National Brand Ambassador, I take my integrity seriously. When they commit to something, they must follow through. If they get it right, traders benefit, the economy grows, and it’s a win for all.”
The event was attended by the Gbobaniyi of Badagry, Dr. Nwaeke Eugine, and other key market leaders from the NDIGBOAMAKA Progressive Markets Association.
