Abia Angels attacker, Mary Lucky is delighted with her nomination as the Most Valuable Player of the Matchday Four and she’s assuring her Umuahia fans that the club would bounce back against Ekiti Queens next week.
Lucky scored all three goals as Abia Angels trumped Confluence Queens 3-0 at the Umuahia Township Stadium in one of the Matchday Four games and she has promised to do more in subsequent games.

The former Heartland Queens striker was a thorn in the flesh of Remo Stars Ladies on Wednesday in a Matchday Five which Abia Angels lost 2-0. She was adjudged the Woman of the Game despite her team’s defeat.
“I am extremely happy to be so recognised as the Most Valuable Player of Matchday Four. This will spur me up to do more,” Lucky told NationSport. “It was nice I scored three goals in our last home game but we could not prevent the loss in Ikenne. We tried all we could but we were still beaten.
“We must move on from the loss to Remo Stars Ladies and work on what must be done to beat Ekiti Queens by as many goals as possible.”
The Falconets attacker will hope to continue with her blistering start to the season when Ekiti Queens visit Umuahia.
