The Ondo State government yesterday approved a new developmental platform for the state to ensure its development.
Commissioner for Information Kayode Akinmade said the “Home Grown Development Plan” would address the limitations and drawbacks in the state’s component of the Vision 20:2020, shape the outlook of the future and enable Governor Olusegun Mimiko leave a lasting legacy.
He said the plan would allow the state key into the transition process in the global agenda for development.
Commissioner for Economic Planning and Budget Akin Adaramola said the development plan would stand on four pillars – Economic, Infrastructure, Social and Sustainable Development Pillars.
According to him, the plan would also be a rallying point for indigenes, irrespective of social, political, economic and religious diversities.
He said the plan would help shape the course of governance, catalyse the state economy and set the stage for the effective take-off of the growth drivers of the economy.
