Nigeria will survive 2019, Oluwadare assures

The 2019 general elections will not lead to the nation’s disintegration or destabilisation, General Overseer of Christ Redemption Bible Church (CRBC) Lagos, Pastor John Oluwadare has declared.

He allayed fears of election-related violence, killings and chaos, saying the polls will not only be peaceful but also smooth.

Oluwadare, who was reacting to apprehensions in many quarters the nation may not survive electoral crises, said: “I can assure you that God will take control before, during and after the elections.

“Nigeria will not destabilise or break because of 2019. All the prophecies of doom and disintegration will not come to pass.

“This nation belongs to God. No matter how hard the devil tries, he will always fail over Nigeria.

“Let me assure that nothing will destroy or shake Nigeria come 2019. The elections will come and go without much incidences because God Himself will take over,” he told our correspondent.

He added that agents of destruction bent on pushing the nation to the precipice will have God to contend with.

“I know some people are hoping, praying and working for Nigeria to disintegrate but I want to declare that they are working in vain.

“No matter how hard they plot, Nigeria will continue to stand. If they refuse to have a change of heart, God will have to deal with them because Nigeria is God’s project.”

Oluwadare, a former purchasing manager of Ashaka Cement Plc, called on politicians not to set the nation on fire but learn to play by rules of the game.

“Power belongs to God. They should realise only Him can enthrone them forever.

“If they play by the rules, Nigeria will be peaceful and prosperous. They shouldn’t think they have what it takes to set the nation on fire,” he stressed.
