Nigeria must fence her borders to avoid incessant attacks

The pertinent question Nigerians need to ask themselves is that how many countries have they travelled to that have porous borders their country’s?  It is funny that Nigerians are complaining of insecurity here and there; how many countries of the world engage foreigners in their police force and in their army?  It is only in Nigeria that you will see people from neighbouring countries like Niger Republic; Chad and Cameroun are deliberately recruited into our armed forces. This has been so since time immemorial with so many foreigners in the army.        Many of these foreigners are in decision making position in the country that is why our borders are porous, so is our decision mechanism also porous  and that is why our army always fall prey to external attacks  because as soon as a decision is made the agent within will leak all the strategic plans to the enemy.

One can hardly differentiate Chadian; Nigerien and Cameroonian culture from that of our people. These people were accommodated in the North in those days for electoral benefits. To shut out all these, the National Assembly should be prevailed upon to enact a law to fence our border and take a cue from the United States immigrant’s shutout.
