Oyo Speaker loses Reps slot to ADP

The Speaker, Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon Joshua Olagunju Ojo has lost his bid to represent Ogbomoso North South and Oriire Federal Constituency at the lower chamber of the National Assembly.

Ojo, who contested under the platform of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), lost to the candidate of the Action Democratic Party (ADP) Captain Ajao Adejumo.

While Ajao scored 31,640 Olagunju scored 17, 582.

The result was announced by the Independent National Electoral commission INEC collation centre at Soun Ogunlola Hall, Oja Igbo Ogbomoso.

Adejumo, who is a political associate of former governor of Oyo state, Otunba Alao Akala, won in Ogbomoso North and South local government while Ojo won in Oriire LG.
