AbdulRazaq urges APC, exco members to avoid negative campaign

Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has urged Executive Committee (exco) members and All Progressives Congress (APC) members to base their campaign on issues.

He spoke in Ilorin at the inauguration of five commissioners and a special adviser.

Said he: “With barely one year to the end of our first tenure, I urge you and other government appointees to be committed to the service of our people.”

The governor asked exco members and APC members to run a campaign filled with evidence of government’s achievements and avoid negative campaign.

The exco members are: Alhaji Agbaje Wahab (Whyte), who has been assigned to man the Ministry of Water Resources; Ibrahim Akaje (Business, Innovation and Technology); Adenike Harriet Oshatimehin (Solid Minerals); Dr. Afeez Abolore (Tertiary Education); and Lateef Alakawa Gidado (Agric).

AbdulRazaq also effected a slight exco reshuffle involving four ministries.

Aliyu Mohammed Saifudeen, an architect; moved from Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs to Housing and Urban Development, replaced by Aliyu Kora Sabi, who was before in the Ministry of Energy.

Sabi is replaced by Mariam Ahmed Hassana – until now the commissioner for Special Duties. Olaitan Buraimah moves to Ministry of Special Duties.

The governor swore in Atiku Abdusalam as special adviser on Civic Engagement.

He urged the exco members to work as a team for better service delivery to the people of Kwara State.
