Abia State Governor Okezie Ikpeazu has sought the collaboration of the French government to attract French companies to invest in the state.
Dr. Ikpeazu, who received the French Ambassador to Nigeria, Mr. Jerome Pasquier, who visited him at his Umuobiakwa country home, said his administration would provide the support needed by French companies to invest in the state.
He said he expected collaboration by the French government in agriculture and technical education.

The governor, who said his government plans to build a youth eco-system where Abia children can acquire skills to fit into the technological demands of the 21st century, appealed to the envoy to partner the state in that regard.
Ikpeazu, who described education as the key to success, said the focus of the state is on technical education. He urged the French government to do more in that regard.
Pasquier said the French government is open to the possibility of working with Abia State in education and agriculture.
He described Abia as one of the best places in Nigeria for investment and promised to make France presence felt in the state.
