Citing the state’s yearly budget, he said though it is increasing daily, the amount is not enough to meet the needs of the people. As a result, more creativity is expected from finance and accounting officers to boost revenue.
Permanent Secretary/Accountant-General, Dr. Abiodun Muritala, noted tackling the state’s economic challenges required innovative solutions.
“Our time together is not just an opportunity to discuss technical and topical financial issues; it is a call to action, a summon to explore innovative and creative avenues that will propel us to new heights as a result of multifaceted challenges and disruptions facing the global economy,” he said.
